Opening Event, Stage Design and Delivery

As Cirque du Soleil’s partner for the Dubai World Cup, we were challenged to create a stage for one hundred performers that could appear within one minute on a four-metre-wide road in front of the horse racing track – and ‘disappear’ again immediately after the performance, before the first race began.

Remote operated, fully mobile, eighty-metre long stage set

Utilising specialist engineering normally reserved for transporting enormous loads such as Oil Rigs and Wind Turbines, we created an 80m long self-propelled stage platform, capable of moving into precise position via 256 wheels on 54 individually controlled axles. Operated by remote, this fully mobile stage included structural arches with integrated aerial rigging for flown performers, lighting, audio and special effects. Integrated power from synchronised, built-in generators and all control via wireless DMX and Timecode.
