Festival Site, Overlay Design and Delivery

For the Explore Your World Festival in Abu Dhabi, we were challenged to design a site and structures to transform an old port district into an accessible and welcoming environment for a new Arts Festival.

BUILT FROM 100% LOCALLY SOURCED MATERIALS

Repurposing materials from shipyards and warehouses, we converted dozens of containers into venues, built a performance stage in a ‘graveyard’ of wooden dhow boats and used old rigging and sails as shade structures. We designed and built a central avenue lined with bespoke reusable flat-pack venues to create a neighbourhood atmosphere.
